Nick Midgley - I qualified as an architect in 1987 with a BA Hons Dip Arch from the 'Oxford School of Architecture', then part of Oxford Polytechnic [now part of Oxford Brookes University]
in 1986 & formed NMD in 1990 in YORK
Since 1994 Nick chose not to remain registered with the RIBA & ARB to allow the practice to pursue a a wider ranging path in architecture & design to bring clients a free ranging professional service & more holistic approach to the procurement of the built environment.
This has lead to the design practice regularly winning design awards & having an unbroken success in successful planning determinations for contemporary projects in sensitive urban & rural locations, often within historic environments.
Nick is based in a spacious modern studio in Calderdale in an old cotton mill, over looking the green hills and woods of the valley - only 3 mins from Junc 24 on the M62, Leeds 20 mins., Newcastle is 2 hrs, Manchester 35 mins, or London by mainline train 2.5 hrs - I've current projects in all these locations and right up to the Scottish borders.
